Martha Nikla has been designing and fabricating
beaded art and fashion jewelry for the last twenty years. She
is recognized
as creating unique, intricately hand-crafted pieces embodying
metal smithing and beading techniques. Her work has been modeled
on runways, published in books and magazines, and featured
at Saks Fifth Avenue, the Florida Craftsmen Gallery, and the
Penland
School of Crafts where she recently co-taught a workshop
with jewelry designer,
Tom
McCarthy. Her studio/gallery,
Beauty & the BEADS, in Sarasota, Florida, is open from
